Upper School Choir
The Immaculate Conception Upper School Choir is an elective subject that is open to students in grades seven and eight. Under the direction of Mr. Ben Briones, who jointly serves as Immaculate Conception Parish Youth Minister, the choir provides liturgical musical leadership at the school Masses on a weekly basis. Guided by the Fine Arts Curriculum of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth which utlizes the curriculum from the Hartford Archdiocese, the students develop musically ranging from two-part harmonies to solo performance with some students doing instrument accompaniment. The choir performs at a host of activities annually including the Immaculate Conception Parish Fall Festival, Catholic Schools Week, Grandparents Day, May Crowning, and more. Their year generally culminates with competition at the Sandy Lake Music Fest in which they've received numerous Division One rankings.
