8th Social Studies

United States History is the focus of the Grade 8 Social Studies Curriculum.   We begin the year with our Colonial Heritage, then explore our New Nation, New Republic, Expansion, The Civil War, A Growing America, The Beginning of Modern America, Challenges, Postwar America, and conclude with Modern America. Class discussions are an integral part of our lessons, and we spend considerable time writing essays and reflections to demonstrate our learning.  We utilize Google classroom and many interactive websites to enhance our understanding of the curriculum.
