I am a native New Yorker, born in New York City, and raised in Dobbs Ferry (Westchester County), New York. I graduated from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, with a degree in Economics. I then headed West to UC Berkeley to obtain my Masters in Finance. Post graduation I began working in the Bay Area where I specialized in operations in an investment/real estate firm. After a few years I returned to New York to begin my career in the Financial Services sector working for The DuPont Stock Brokerage Firm and later with EDS in conjunction with DuPont.
I received an opportunity to return to my operating roots at a management company which brought me to Spring Branch, Texas. After a few years I returned to the Bay area and began consulting primarily in the tax field, becoming a Master Tax Advisor for H&R Block as well as an enrolled agent for the IRS. During this time, I met and married my wife Maureen and we are the proud parents of 5 children and 4 grandchildren. Upon retirement, we relocated to Texas in 2021 to be closer to our children. Once Maureen began teaching PK here at Our Lady’s school, I began subbing and have now joined the staff as an Instructional Support member, working with students in all grades and all coursework. It is a pleasure sharing my experiences with the students and supporting them in their classes. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading; I particularly enjoy scientific publications and being able to share science in an academic setting.
