I grew up in the small town of Lindsay, TX with a big family. I am the second oldest of 7 children and we are all very close. When I was in first grade and learning how to read, I would come home from school and teach my younger sister what I had been learning. It was at that time that I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I graduated from Lindsay in 2002 and went to North Central Texas College to do my basics. I graduated in 2004 with an Associate of Science degree and continued my education at Texas Woman’s University in Denton. When I completed my student teaching at Newton Rayzor, I knew that I had to work with young children. I was fortunate to be able to work in a Kindergarten classroom. I graduated from TWU in 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood (EC-4). The following August, I was blessed to get a job at Immaculate Conception Catholic School as a part time Preschool Teacher. While I loved working with the 3 year olds, I wanted to work there full time. The following year, I was asked to teach Kindergarten. I taught Kindergarten for 4 years and in 2012 started teaching Preschool 4 year olds. I am very blessed to work with such a great staff and to work in a school where we can go to Mass and pray in our classrooms every day. This was a wonderful calling that God has given me.
My husband and I currently live in Gainesville, close to both of our families. We have a two year old son named William and have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We are members of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church.
