Mrs. McCauley--Academic Success Coordinator
I am extremely fortunate to begin my third year at ICCS. This year i am excited to assume the role of Academic Success Coordinator, working with students in all grade levels and supporting teachers in the classroom. Prior to joining the ICCS family, I taught third and fifth grades in the Lewisville Independent School District. I am certified in grades EC-8, with extensive training in Special Education curriculum as well as Title I teaching methods and strategies.
I was born and raised in the Philadelphia suburbs, and educated by Augustinians throughout my elementary and high school years. I earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania; a Jesuit university, where I was educated in philosophy, business and communication. While at Scranton I met my husband Mike; we recently celebrated 32 years of marriage. After graduation I worked in the corporate world for a number of years while raising our three daughters. In June of 2003 we had the opportunity to relocate to North Texas; once here I quickly embraced volunteering in our daughters’ classrooms. I was enjoying this time so much I began subbing, then enrolled at UNT and earned my post baccalaureate certificate in elementary education.
We are three-time Aggie parents and bleed maroon & white. Our youngest daughter Colleen is a 2019 graduate; she works for the YMCA headquarters in Dallas in the communications department. She and her husband Michael live in Las Colinas. Our middle daughter Shannon and her husband Michael graduated in 2015; they reside in Austin where Shannon is a Digital Producer for an advertising agency and Michael is a consultant for BCG. Our oldest daughter Christina graduated in 2013; she then earned her Masters in Public Health at UT’s Health Science Center in 2015. Christina lives in Washington D.C. and is a senior health policy advisor on Capitol Hill working for Congresswoman Doris Matsui of Sacramento, CA.
Now that we’re empty nesters Mike & I reside in Argyle and are members of St. Mark Parish, where Mike is a lector and I serve as a Catechist. We enjoy travelling, reading, hiking, and walking our dog, Ranger.
I very much look forward to contimuing to serve the students and families of ICCS. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
God Bless,
Kathy McCauley
