I am originally from the Great Lakes State, where I attended St. Juliana’s Catholic School in Detroit, Michigan, until the 6 thgrade. It was there, at a very young age, that I was inspired to teach. I was surrounded by teachers who modeled the joy of teaching and incorporated our Catholic faith throughout the curriculum. I graduated from Oxford High School and received my Bachelors of Science at Western Michigan University majoring in Special Education K-8, with a minor in Integrated Creative Arts.
I am passionate about teaching and learning and believe it is a gift to be able to incorporate our faith throughout the curriculum. I have taught Kindergarten through Eighth grade for over 18 years in both private and public schools. I discovered Immaculate Conception Catholic School in 2001 when my family relocated to Texas and I was on a quest to find a great Catholic School for my three boys. I have taught 1 st, 2 nd, 5 th and 7 th grades along with Earth and Life Science at Immaculate Conception. This will be my 8 th year teaching at ICCS.
“For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.”(Lk 12:24) My heart is definitely here at ICCS! I am so happy to be able to work with the families and children in this fantastic community!
