Rick and I were married at Christ the King after my freshman year at WSU. I became pregnant during my second year of teaching, then stayed home to take care of Nathan. I subbed for Pre-K through 4th grade at St. Patrick Catholic School and taught Religious Education until Kaitlyn was born.
We moved to Texas when Kaitlyn was a baby. Nathan attended preschool at our parish, St. Philip the Apostle in Lewisville. I was his room mom and I taught Religious Education. I have volunteered at Vacation Bible School for 12 years.
Nathan started attending Immaculate Conception his kindergarten year. Kaylee was born that October. Since Nathan began attending ICCS, I have been room mom for all three of my children, head room mom, helped with chess club, began the Little Flowers Girls Club, and I was a Cub Scout den leader for 4 years. When Kaylee began preschool, I started working part time at ICCS. I have subbed Pre-K through 8th grade, taught Pre-K two days a week, worked for Title I, taught 5th grade, Spanish and P.E. I am excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year, as well as Spanish K-5.
I enjoy traveling with my family. I am a certified SCUBA diver and love diving in the Caribbean. I hope to be able to do that again someday. Since the children were born, we have taken many driving trips around the U.S. I have been to all but 5 states.
I feel very blessed to have attended and worked in Catholic schools. I love working with the dedicated staff and wonderful families at ICCS.
