I am so happy to be back at Immaculate Conception Catholic School for my 11th year teaching first grade. I love it here at ICCS! I'm looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your child!
I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself…
I was born and raised in Queens, New York and moved to Texas to be closer to my sister and her family.
I earned a B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, New York and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (grades N-3) from Queens College in Queens, New York. I hold permanent certification in New York State in Nursery through 6 th grade and have 2 permanent New York City licenses in grades Nursery through 1 st grade, and the other in grades 1 st through 6 th.
Although this will be my 11th year at ICCS, it will be my 36th year doing what I love – teaching. All of my 36 years have been dedicated to teaching in Catholic school and sharing my faith with children. I have taught primarily in grades Pre-K through grade 2, but have also taught reading and English at Xavier High School in Manhattan during the summers. I now spend my summers as a private tutor and I tutor during the year as well.
I look forward to meeting each of you and want to thank you, in advance, for sharing your child with me. It's going to be a great year!
