A CHILL is in the air, meaning fall and winter are just around the corner. This means that it's almost time to break out those jackets, coats and scarves.
Unfortunately, many families in our area will be unable to afford a quality coat for their child this year. Luckily, you can help!
Immaculate Conception Catholic School is partnering with Interfaith
Ministries in collecting new and gently used coats as part of its annual Coats for Kids project. Last year, Coats for Kids provided coats and jackets to more than 330 children in our community!
The deadline for dropping off items was October 13, but the project sponsor Interfaith Ministries of Denton Inc. can still use your help.
Volunteers are needed to help sort donations. The Interfaith Ministires office at 1109 N. Elm St. is open from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Volunteers also will be needed beginning at 7 a.m. Oct. 25, which is distribution day. For more information, contact Lehia Hill at 940-566-5927 or [email protected].
Help Interfaith keep our kids warm this winter!
