Immaculate Conception Catholic School has had a rich history of excellence in its One Act Play productions during the annual Private School Interscholastic Association (PSIA) competition. The OAP is open to seventh and eighth graders as an elective and the cast and crew are chosen through interview and auditions. In addition to OAP, the school features a host of interscholastic speech events ranging from Storytelling that begins in first grade to such events as Prose, Poetry, Impromptu Speaking, and Modern Oratory. The strong Speech and Drama program at ICCS spurs students to go on confidently into high school and community productions where alumni have done well in speech, theater, and crew. The Speech and Drama instruction is based on curricular elements of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth Fine Arts Curriculum which has adopted the Hartford Archdiocese Curriculum.
