Our students have developed a passion for music with alumni continuing their love for their instrument and music as they continue their educational careers. Stringed Orchestra is an extra-charge enrichment activity of the school offered for grades four through eight. The Stringed Orchestra plays in a variety of local activities including Grandparents Day, Catholic Schools Week, Veterans Day Program, Christmas Program and more. They annually compete in the Sandy Lake Music Fest where they continually achieve a Division One Ranking.

If you have a used violin, viola or cello for sale, please clean it up, bring it to school with an information sheet inside the case with your name, contact info and any details you can provide. Payment must be between parents, not through the teacher. We will try to match a new student with your instrument.

At home, please make every effort to help your string student find a quiet place to play their instrument and safely leave their equipment. If the student knows that parents expect them to play and practice for 20 minutes on five days each week, there is a much better chance of this happening. Parents, please let me appoint you as a Practice Associate as we enter this new semester. For the most part, your assignment is to encourage daily playing at home and to find ways to praise your child's efforts. The Parent--Student--Teacher triangle makes a strong bond in forming the young musician. I look forward to our journey.
